When we re-imagined the energy rating industry, we saw a future where builders, insulation contractors, HVAC contractors, and Quality Managment Organizations treat energy raters with respect.

A future where the rater delivers real value to the process.

A future where they met the builder’s need to build energy efficient, sustainable homes at a profitable price.

A future where they help the builder and trade contractors keep their integrity and deliver what they promised.

A future filled with collaboration, innovation, and common sense.

A future where certification is the reward for competence at doing the work.

A future where technology made their work better, and lives easier.

A future with consistent ERI outputs.

A future with free training & CEUs.

A future without bureaucracy.

A future of greater effectiveness, higher productivity, and more engagement.

A future of reduced costs and higher profits.

A future where their business became better, more resilient, and thrived.

A future where they could discover work they loved to do.

That future is here.

We created the Building Science Institute to deliver that future to you today.

And we won’t stop there.

We built a Quality Management System from trusted international quality standards such as ISO 19011 & 17020, and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4.

We built a system to improve your business, drive out fear, and build trust through transparency.

Our technology partner developed the most advanced energy rating software on the planet.

With integrated modeling and inspections to streamline your customizable workflows…

Advanced AI to improve the quality of the work you do…

And automated quality control checks that deliver real-time feedback to the operator…

EnergyPlus is the core simulation engine that drives this technology.

Our system went through a rigorous review by the EPA.

They recognized us as the 2nd Home Certification Organization in the history of the ENERGY STAR® New Homes program.

Our technology is the first software tool to pass the stringent ENERGY STAR Software Test.

Our system, fueled by our desire to help you build a better business and discover work you love to do, does far more than that.

Together, we help builders build a better planet for all.
