Update from the Texas Veteran's Land Board

We're proud to announce that thanks to our staff's efforts, the Texas Veteran Land Board adopted HB 3215 as a compliance path for Texas Veteran Home Loans.

That means organizations like ours, recognized by the EPA as an ENERGY STAR Home Certification Organization with a home energy rating system, can generate a certificate that complies with the requirements of a "home energy rating system index utilizing Standard 301."

We're happy for this outcome, and glad our BSI Verifiers can support our Texas Veterans in getting a more energy efficient home than the most commonly used path.

Rather than just having a target index, there are minimum efficiency backstops - meaning a Veteran that gets a home certified under our system through the HB 3215 path gets a better built home.

Thanks for the update!

Great news, thanks for the update.
